Gaëlle Morel appointed Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres

We are pleased to announce that RIC Exhibitions Curator, Gaëlle Morel, has been granted the rank of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by the French government. This tremendous honour recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves by their creations in artistic or literary fields, or by contributing to the influence of Arts and Letters in France and around the world. Gaëlle holds a PhD in the History of Contemporary Art from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. Since joining the RIC in 2010, she has curated a number of significant exhibitions including Burn with Desire: Photography and Glamour (2015) and Birmingham, Alabama, 1963 (2017), and has worked on exhibitions and commissions with artists such as Nadia Myre, Harun Farocki, Suzy Lake and Zanele Muholi.
